Solution Focused Coaching

The influence that the solution focused approach is gaining in the world of coaching is growing. Whether it is called Brief Coaching or Solution Focused Coaching, (even Solutions Focus Coaching), whatever the name, the approach is gaining more and more enthusiastic exponents. Just over the next week BRIEF has been invited to present ‘Brief Coaching’ for the Association for Coaching on Wednesday evening at the Wallacespace Covent Garden in London and at the University of East London on the Stratford Campus on Thursday. And this follows a presentation at the BACP Coaching conference in June.  Whilst most coaches coming across Solution Focus for the first time respond first by seeing the fit, feeling comfortable within the approach, they very quickly also begin to see the challenges to some of their assumptions, indeed to some of their most dearly held assumptions.

The BRIEF team is hoping that the relationship between the world of coaching and the world of Solution Focus will grow even closer and that the publication in December this year of the BRIEF book ‘Brief Coaching: a solution focused approach’ will aid that process.
